Zito, who's new album Greyhound, has been nominated for the Blues Music
Awards title "Rock Blues Album of the Year" in 2012, has graced Cape with his musical talent for the blues several times.
The nomination of his album for the 2012 Rock Blues Album of
the Year is a welcomed addition to the nomination of his album Pearl
River, for the 2010 Rock Blues Album of the Year. Though he didn't win the award for the album, the title track Pearl
River received the award BMA "Song of The Year" in 2010, which he
performed with Cyril Neville. The Blues Music Awards will be handed out
in May.
Zito's career has led to many successes as he has worked through the
trials and troubles of his past. The St. Louis native moved to Texas
with his wife and three children. He tours currently with two bands, and
he anticipates a very busy 2012 with much to look forward to in his
music.
