The Retribution Cancels 2016 Season

NEWS

The Retribution, one of Cape Girardeau’s famous haunted attractions, has announced that they will not be open for the 2016 Halloween season. This announcement comes with some good news as well, that The Retribution will return bigger and better in a new location.

Over the past 9 years The Retribution has grown from a small haunt on a family farm, to a professional attraction in Cape. Now this haunted house is growing again with a new location by the airport. With renovations to be made, owner Cliff Talley is working hard to bring his haunt to its full potential. In a statement on their Facebook page they said, “We decided to not rush and give you guys anything less than the best haunted house in the area that you are used to. We pride ourselves in working very hard for you all and we just couldn't throw together a crappy haunt just to be open.”

Big plans are in the works for next year, including a zombie paintball arena.

“Our new place will be bigger and better with new scares and new experiences that will amaze and scare you like never before.”

The Retribution will return in 2017, until then fans are eagerly anticipating what new scares are in store.
