Bollinger County Museum of Natural History Joins the Global #GivingTuesday Movement

Bollinger County Museum of Natural History has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Occurring this year on November 28, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the US) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

This year Bollinger County Museum of Natural History has chosen to focus our Giving Tuesday campaign on our mission to bring the wonders of science, history, and the arts to a new generation of explorers, thinkers, and philanthropists.

The mission of The Bollinger County Museum of Natural History is to inspire through discovery and education the natural and cultural history of our continent.  Our vision is to perpetuate an institution, grounded in scientific principles, that captures the imagination of people of all ages through engaging and evolving displays and programs that will enduringly connect people with the natural world and recruit generations of new explorers, thinkers, and philanthropists.

Through our exhibits, programs, school tours, and outreach we hope to connect young people with science, history, and the arts. Our Traveling Teacher Trunks bring information and fun to classrooms and give students a hands-on experience.

You can help us continue our mission to inspire a new generation of explorers, scientists, and artists by making a donation on #GivingTuesday, November 28, 2017.

There are several avenues for making financial donations; visit our Bollinger County Museum of Natural History facebook page, visit our website donation page at http://bcmnh.org/donate.html, mail a check to Bollinger County Museum of Natural History, P.O. Box 676, Marble Hill, MO 63764 (please indicate Giving Tuesday in the memo section), or cash and credit cards are accepted at the museum located at 207 Mayfield Drive in Marble Hill.
