From Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, Southeast Missouri State University will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a variety of activities, incorporating everything from music and art to culture, history and food.

Southeast Missouri State University observed 9/11 with a solemn flag ceremony on the front lawn of Academic Hall.


Pinta and Nina in Cape Girardeau

Experience a weekend filled with hands-on history in Cape Girardeau with the docking of the Pinta and the Nina September 29th and 30th and October 1st and 2nd and the second annual Cape Girardeau Heritage Day 30th. 

On Friday, September 29th, the ‘Pinta’ and the ‘Nina’, replicas of Columbus’ Ships, will open for tours in Cape Girardeau.  The ships will be docked at Riverfront Park until their departure early Tuesday morning October 3rd.
