Rocky Holler Haunted Hayride**

Place: Interstate 55, Exit 105, County Road 303 (Fruitland)

Date: October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29

Time: 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Description: Patrons can enjoy a hayride full of ghosts and spooks! This is a fun ride appropriate for children, with a little scare.

Ghost Walk & History Tour

Place: The Gazebo in Downtown Perryville, MO

Date: October 27

Time: 8 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Description: Meet at the Gazebo for a journey through haunted and historic Perryville, MO. Your tour guide will tell stories of local spirits and legends.

Cost: $5 per person.



Black Forest Haunted Ghost Town

Place: 2728 CR 638 Cape Girardeau, MO 

Date: October 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29

Time: 7 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Description: Located on the outskirts of town, Black Forest has the perfect atmosphere for a good fright.New additions have been added this year with new rooms and a longer maze.

Cost: Admission is $8 for Adults, $5 for kids ages 10 and under.

Ste. Genevieve Ghost Tour

Place: 260 Merchant St, Sainte Genevieve, MO

Date: October 8, 22, 29

Time: 9 p.m.

Description: Take a haunted tour of Ste. Genevieve and learn about its ghostly history.

Cost: $20 for Adults and $12 for 12 and under. Psychic readings are $20.



Beggs Family Farm**

Place: 2319 St Hwy U Sikeston,  MO

Date: October 1 - 31

Time: Wed. & Thurs. 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Fri. 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Sat. 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Sun. 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Description: This is a great family attraction with hayrides, a pumpkin patch, corn maze, Boo Barn, the Barnyard Express, and much more.

The Darkness

Place: 1525 South 8th Street, St. Louis, MO

Date: October 1,2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, & 20-31. Nov. 4 & 5

Time: Time varies depending on day.

Description: The Darkness is one of the biggest haunted attractions in St. Louis. They offer a variety of activities, and use FX animation, props, and scenes for intense scares. This year they have added zombie laser tag.

Myra Manes Memorium

Place: 422 W Pine Street, Poplar Bluff, MO

Description: This production utilizes strobes, loud noises, darkness, uneven flooring and stairs

The Haunted Grotto

Place: Three Rivers Shrine Club 3102 Kennedy Lane Poplar Bluff, MO 

Date: October 15, 16, 21-23, 27-31

Time: 7 p.m.

Description: Haunted attraction with themed rooms and hallways.

Cost: $10.



Déjà Vu Spirit Reunion

Place: Memorial Cemetery, Historic District 35 N. 5th St., Ste. Genevieve, MO

Date: October 22

Time: 5:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Description: Would you like to hear the story of a US Senator who has been buried three different times, a Civil War colonel who died at the battle of Shiloh, meet up with a modern day spirit of Missouri’s first US Representative, or one portraying the well to do or the not so well to do from Ste. Genevieve’s history before 1880.

Visitors will experience these stories and more as the Foundation for Restoration of Ste. Genevieve hosts its annual Déjà Vu Spirit Reunion. The cemetery, established in 1787, includes the tombs and grave markers of the area’s earliest French pioneers, other European emigrants, African American slaves and freemen, Native Americans and a mass grave for victims of a steamboat explosion. This family friendly living history program provides visitors with an intimate look into the lifestyles and happenings in Missouri’s oldest town during the late 18th and 19th centuries. Tour the cemetery via lantern light and chat “face-to-face"" with spirits clad in traditional dress and enjoy a hauntingly good time.

Ste. Genevieve Calendar 

Halloween Storytelling**

Place: Bollinger Mill State Historic Site, 113 Bollinger Mill Rd, Burfordville, MO

Date: October 14

Time: 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Description: Make sure to stop at Bollinger Mill State Historic Site in Burfordville for Halloween Storytelling. Missouri State Parks will sponsor this free event featuring professional storyteller Marilyn Kinsella.

Please bring a lawn chair for seating. Refreshments provided after the storytelling. Appropriate for all ages.

Haunted Downtown Walking Tours

Place: Downtown Cape, Cape Girardeau MO

Date: October 1, 8, 15, 21, 28, and 29

Time: 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Description: Are you looking for some fun and adventure this Halloween? Follow the lantern of your costumed guide through downtown and let the darkness of the past envelop you. Cape Girardeau's historic downtown is full of "true" tales of ghosts and memorable characters.

The instructor will be Christy Mershon/Tom Neumeyer

The start of the tour is at the Pavilion by Hudsons/downtown

Cost: $20/person, $30/couple



Boos on Broadway

Place: Broadway St., Cape Girardeau, MO

Date: 13 & 26

Time: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Description: Did you enjoy the popular Haunted Downtown Walking Tour? Are you interested in some more haunted history fun? Join us for our new frightfully fun adventure, “Boos on Broadway.” Follow the Broadway corridor from the river and hear chilling tales of haunted opera houses, frightening furniture makers, murders, mayhem and more. Come dressed appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes for this adventure.

Night with the Spirits

Place: Glenn House, Cape Girardeau, MO

Date: October 27

Time: 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Description: Come join the spirits of the historic (and rumored to be haunted) Glenn House for an evening of thrills and chills, Victorian style. Spend your evening wandering the grounds and participate in activities such as: an interactive haunted tour, an authentic Victorian séance, a chilling cocktail party (complete with beverage samples) or s’more stations by the firelight. Bring your camera! The object of the evening is to be as interactive as possible. You will be encouraged to share your experiences and impressions of the night with us before you have the opportunity to bid farewell to the friends you have met along the way, living or dead!

Halloween Express**

Place: Railroad at Jct. 25 and 61 in Jackson, MO

Date: October 29

Time: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Description: This is a kid-friendly Halloween party. There will be a costume contest, Auction just for kids, Face painting, Balloon animals, pumpkin decorating, Halloween pictures to color, Halloween story, and special treats. Kids in costume receive a discount on their ticket price.

Ghost Dinner Train

Place: Railroad at Jct. 25 and 61 in Jackson, MO

Date: October 29

Time: 6 p.m.

Description: This is a 3-hour evening with a walk and storytelling in the Jackson Cemetery, followed by a wine tasting, and then a train ride with costumed characters, dinner, and surprises. Reservations are required.

New Madrid Ghost Tours

Place: New Madrid

Date: October 14, 21, 22, 28

Time: 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Description: Reservations are required. Rain or shine. You will have the opportunity to ghost hunt in three locations! You won't want to miss it.

Haunted Hall of Horror**

Place: A.C. Brase Arena Building, 410 Kiwanis Dr, Cape Girardeau, MO 

Date: October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, 31

Time: 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Description: This creepy old haunted house will take you on a long, dark journey through the nooks and crannies of the A. C. Brase Arena. Visitors should be prepared to creep through endless mazes and hallways full of terrifying creatures and disturbing sights.  All ages are invited, but kids twelve and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost: $7, kids 5 and under are free.

Walls of Terror

Place: 9265 County Road 627, Dexter, MO

Dates: October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, and 31. 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Description: Walls of Terror is a haunted house nestled in the woods of Dexter, MO.

Cost: $10



Haunted Hay Rides

Place: Wright's Off-Road MudPark, Royalton, IL

Dates: Oct. 8, 14, 15, 22, 28, 29

Time: 7:30 p.m. to midnight

Description: Hay ride features live action actors! This will be about a 30 minute ride through haunted woods. Also you can enjoy the bonfires up front by the lodge where the DJ will be playing on the main stage.

Cost:$3 for children 12 and under, $7 for adults.

The Retribution has been cancelled for the 2016 season, and will return to a new location in 2017.


Beggs Family Orchard in Jackson is closed for 2016.

Southern Illinois


Haunted House

Place: Elkville City Park

Description: Can you handle what is hiding in the dark?

We are once again going to see how you handle the unexpected and try to scare your pants off. This years haunted house will take place 2 nights so you can bring all your friends.

Carbondale Zombie Walk

Place: Gaia House

Date: October 15

Time: Noon - 5:30 p.m.

Description: Registration is $10, and includes zombie swag, entry into prize drawing, and a zombie makeover!

Haunted Hollow**

Place: Touch of Nature Center, 1206 Touch of Nature Rd., Makanda, IL

Date: November 1

Time: 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Description: The 7th annual Haunted Hollow provides a perfect Halloween atmosphere for families. Touch of Nature gives you a balance of laughs and gasps that make for an exciting, yet safe environment. On Sunday, November 1st, you and your loved ones can enjoy a hayride throughout the scenic Touch of Nature roads where you may be greeted by wilderness dwellers and creatures. There will also be nature hikes through the fall forest, creepy crawlers for you to hold, and games for the kids to enjoy.

The Hauntings at Chittyville**

Date: Sep 30 - Oct 1, Oct 7-9, 14-15, 21-22, 28-31

Time: Fridays & Saturdays - 7 p.m. - 12 a.m.

Sundays - 7 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Description: Three haunts in one! The attractions include Chittyville School, The Liar (weather permitting), and Spookytown (for the kiddos). Times vary depending on the day, and there are special nights as well. Visit their website for details.

Haunted Trail and Hayride

Place: 4903 Sportsmans Road, Waterloo, Illinois 62298

Date: October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29

Time: 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Description: Come have a blast riding on the hayride or the Pumpkin Express, brave the trail in the woods, or take on zombies in Zombie Laser Tag. Concessions are provided, and all ages are welcome.

Cost: $14.



Haunted Hayride

Place: James Street Park, Carterville, IL

Date: October 20, 21, & 22

Time: 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.

Description: Come take a haunted hayride through the park. Hosted by the Carterville Lion's Club.

Cost: N/A


Haunted Carbondale Tours

Place: Castle Perilous Games and Books

Date: October 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, 29, & 31

Time: 7 p.m. ( 9 p.m. on Halloween)

Take a walk through the dark side of Carbondale every Friday and Saturday in October. Event will be cancelled if there is rain. The tour is wheelchair accessible. Dress warmly. Well behaved pets are welcome. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society.

Cost: $10 per person. Children are free.
